All-natural, hand made on our Connecticut farm in small batches with a sugar blend expertly formulated by the owner of Turkeywoods Farm, who holds a Ph.D. in organic chemistry. This is the highest quality hickory syrup available, and as a "pure" hickory syrup is not flavored with vanilla, whiskey, spices, oak, fruit or any other flavorings. The excellent flavor profile of our syrup is due solely to hickory bark and a specific blend of natural sugars. Note that hickory syrup is not a sap-based syrup. It is made from a hickory bark extraction (i.e. hickory bark tea) with added sugars, as has been done for centuries beginning with early American settlers.
