For mid-range to high-fire temperatures. - Mayco Stoneware Classic Glaze - Opal Lustre, PintStoneware Classic Glaze, OPAL LUSTRE - Due to consumers obtaining varied results, our lab and design teams have done extensive testing of SW219 Opal Lustre. This product has a wide range of variability and reactivity. The choice of clay body, thickness of glaze application, texture, firing process, and temperature will affect the fired results. We recommend firing cone 6 (1222°C / 2232°F) in a lightly packed kiln on a white stoneware clay body with texture. Testing is recommended. If you are unable to test and accept varied results, we do not recommend the purchase of this glaze. If you are unsatisfied with the results, this glaze looks great in combination with other Mayco Stoneware glazes.
