Harris Washing Soda, also known as sodium carbonate, is a versatile cleaning agent and laundry booster that has been used for decades. Washing soda can help you tackle tough stains and keep your home clean and fresh. DIRECTIONS - DILUTE PRIOR TO USE Laundry Booster: Mix ½ cup of this product with your regular detergent to your laundry (even delicates) to boost your detergent’s performance for cleaner and stain-free clothes. Laundry Pre-Soak: In a tub of water, add 1/2 cup of Harris Washing Soda per gallon of warm water. Pre- soak clothing in a basin or tub for at least 30 minutes. For best results, presoak overnight. Wash clothing as normal. Kitchen/Bath - All Purpose Cleaning: For general cleaning, mix a solution of ½ cup of washing soda to 1 gallon of warm water. Stir or shake until no clumps remain. Pour into a squirt bottle for application. Use on countertops, glass, mirrors, porcelain, fiberglass and more! NOTE: DO NOT USE on aluminum, no wax floors or varnished or lacquered surfaces. Pots and Pans: To better remove greasy, burned on stains from non-aluminum cookware, add this product directly to a damp sponge and scour surface. Or make a paste using 2 parts product to 1 part water and cover tough areas. Let stand for 30 minutes and then wash as usual. Drains: To aid in unclogging drains, pour 1 cup of washing soda into the clogged drain followed by 2 or 3 cups of boiling water. Allow the washing soda to work for 30 minutes and then flush the drain well with plain water. Repeat as needed. Tie-Dye/Fabric dye crafts: This product is often used to aid your fabric to better absorb dyes and therefore produce brighter results. Before you dye/tie-dye - Dilute ½ cup of product into large bowl or basin of warm water. Pre-soak clothing/cloth for at least 30 minutes. Wring out material and proceed with your project.
