Serve pancakes hot and top with butter and warm pancake syrup or fruit compote and a slice of country ham or bacon. Delicious stir in options - chopped apples, raisins, walnuts, pecans, or cranberries. TO MAKE A SINGLE PANCAKE: Combine a 1/4 cup pancake mix and approximately 1/8 cup or a little more water.
